Sometime the break in the bit is too much for a sensitive horse. I thought it would be too much and back my horse off but it actually gave me more control with less fight. I am loving it. You can also try using a flash if she is opening her mouth at all.Boss Mare Eventinghttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08039910692009593158noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7503414269772613959.post-37143811253570340332011-06-11T07:01:43.575-04:002011-06-11T07:01:43.575-04:00So glad you had a great trail ride! Much more versatile than it's single reined counterparts. I hunt in one and swear by it. :)Sarahhttp://www.foxhuntingfriesian.blogspot.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7503414269772613959.post-80769914252434490622011-06-11T01:37:14.437-04:002011-06-11T01:37:14.437-04:00Have you ever thought of something bitless? I find that I can be clear with it (which she likes, as every request must be made perfectly before she even considers obeying). What I love about it is that if she's being good I can ride her off the "snaffle" part of it and let the curb rein be loose, but should I need the added "stoppage" I can shorten up on the curb and get some leverage. It's what I rode her in when I did cross country, for that reason.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7503414269772613959.post-12216703249402873492011-06-10T23:52:29.515-04:002011-06-10T23:52:29.515-04:00Hooray for a sticky butt!!
