he says thanks - I asked him if he could come "babysit" me yesterday because no one else was around and I didn't want to ride outside without having someone there in case things went south! :)
You always have great pics but I LOVE the last one...something about the gray day, melty snow, foggy trail and happy pups..it's energizing for some reason!
Lucy is such a gorgeous girl. I know for sure, I wouldn't have the courage like you, it seems like like it would be exhausting after a while. She is a handful no doubt about that. You have an amazing seat. I do smile at her antics from afar, I have to admit.
it is absolutely exhausting and I do get down about things sometimes, but at this point she isn't sellable unless I want to give her away - I feel like she should at least be jumping courses again before I could market her - and I can't let her just sit because she gets bored and belligerent.
he is a super dog. a bit of an elephant compared to Cairo. she is so dainty, so sensitive, and so careful. he just barges on through! but he is really cute.
at that point I was thinking, oh good they're tired! we were almost home from a few miles of hiking through the woods and they had done a LOT of running. we got home and Cairo went right to bed but Ryker wanted to play even more. I had forgotton how much energy puppies have!
I've been reading for a while, and I know Lucy has some 'antics', but I wonder if (given the fact that you said she gets worse in the winter/cold weather) if you are dealing with some sort of pain issue? It might be worth trying her on butte or previcox (since she has had ulcers in the past and previcox is easier on the tummy) for a few days and see if she goes better for you. Maybe it's just a little arthritis?
I miss Lucy, even her crazy mare moments (you can't beat those faces)!
ReplyDeleteshe misses you too - come ride any time!
DeleteYour husband is great at capturing her naughty moments! Good thing she's so cute.
