Lucy got her feet done today and when I rode a few hours later, she was very sore :( I could tell as soon as she picked up the trot that she was ouchy. I am 99.999% sure it's a foot soreness issue because she was reaching out just fine through the shoulder but when she put her RF foot down, there was a second of hesitation and a head bob. Poor girl.
Instead of the jumping session that I had planned, we had a snuggle session.
Those pictures are so sweet! You two are both adorable. Hope your girl is back to normal in no time!
ReplyDeleteSnuggle days are the best! Hope she is feeling better soon.
ReplyDeleteAdorable pictures.
ReplyDeleteOh no. Maybe a bad nail? I hope she's better pdq. She's looking really good. The photos are so nice.
ReplyDeleteI reaaaaaally hope it isn't a nail issue. My farrier is top-notch and even checks the pulses in each foot after nailing the shoes on to see if the horse has a bad reaction (a very strong pulse tends to mean something is bothering the horse). He didn't feel anything abnormal after checking Lucy and she actually felt a tiny bit ouchy during our trail ride on Saturday. I'm thinking she is just a sensitive baby and was right at the 6wk mark with her feet. The walls were beginning to look a bit crappy and I am hoping that she feels/looks better today. I am going out after work (on my lunch break now) to see how she looks on a lunge line.
DeleteI'm sorry that she's lame, but the pictures are so cute!
ReplyDeletePoor mare! I hope it isn't anything serious.
ReplyDeleteAt least you got a cute photo session out of it! Hope she feels better soon
ReplyDeleteThose are some great photos, hope she's not so tender today :)
ReplyDeleteGreat pictures!
ReplyDeleteShod or bare, a farrier should never leave them sore. I hope she works out of it quickly. xo
