Breaking news! My horse got a new blankie.
I've had my eye on these high-neck Rambo blankets forever and I found a killer deal from Jeffers Equine for a MW Rambo for $140. Then I found a coupon for $10 off, and got free shipping, so now my horse is dressed like the diva she knows she is.
Sorry mom, I can't hear you, the angels are singing too loudly. |
The Horseware blankets looks so good on her.
Sleepy in the sunshine. She had pretty much zero interest in running around; she simply wanted to stand there and sunbathe, or lick me half to death. |
coming in for some kisses (and a peppermint) |
I think she is imaging it's July and she's on the beach here. So cute. |
I ♥ Horseware!
ReplyDeleteBrilliant bargain buy & the brown looks stunning on Lucy.
Nancy needs a new turnout rug, I'm hoping to grab one in sales when credit card resets next week - fingers crossed I can find what I want in her size & my budget *blush*
The Rhino patterns are way more fun than the Rambos! Horseware rocks. If you decide to upgrade more than one article of her clothing I found this membership on Pinnacle Horseware that rocks. Can't share details but if you want to email me I can share more specifics. Best $100 I have spent! That is how Huey got his Rambo Wardrobe upgrade this year. :)
ReplyDeleteThe check pattern was really the final push that I NEEDED this blanket. It's so cute.
DeleteGood tip about the membership. I will email you!
You can shop! That's an awesome deal! Beautiful pics in the snow too.
ReplyDeleteI am an annoyingly patient bargain hunter!
DeleteI commend thee on thy awesome bargain shopping!!!!
ReplyDeletehaha thank you!
DeleteShe looks cute in it.
ReplyDeleteShe looks wonderful! Do you like the way the Rambos fit? Are they roomy in the shoulder? My horse actually needs a new blanket and I'm trying to decide which brand to go with.
ReplyDeleteIt would depend what breed you are shopping for. I wouldn't say that this blanket would fit Maddy's beefy Appendix gelding well, even though he and Lucy are the same blanket size. She doesn't have a small shoulder, though.
DeleteJust remember to get a size smaller than you normally would. Measuring guidelines are on their website. Lucy's a 78 in Baker/Dover/SmartPak etc, and a 75 in Rambo/Rhino/Weatherbeeta. Why they all can't just use the same sizing system is beyond me!
I like the way that closes... she looks hot! ;D
ReplyDeleteMe too! It is so easy to put on/take off.
DeleteIt looks beautiful in it!
ReplyDeleteI meant that Lucy looks beautiful in it. Oppsie!
DeleteLove it, she looks so good!
ReplyDeletePenny has the same blanket but just the standard neck - I got a good deal too. Wish it were the Wug version! William has this in Green - but its a heavyweight. Lucy looks pretty in that brown!
ReplyDeleteVery stylin she really should be a catalog model!! :)
ReplyDeleteshhh don't tell her that, her ego is big enough as it is! ;)
DeleteRe-waterproofing a blanket is pretty easy. I have done it a couple of times using the waterproofing stuff for tents. You can get it for $3 or so at any big box store or outdoor store. Just make sure you do the spraying outside, the stuff stinks.
ReplyDeleteGood to know, I may give it a shot!
DeleteBeautiful pics, what a diva in her new duds :)
ReplyDeleteGorgeous blanket (and Lucy!) I had pretty similar one and it lasted forever, even with a ridiculously accident prone mare. I keep looking to find a new one on clearance too!
ReplyDeleteI am IN LOVE with that blanket and it looks so good on her! What a great deal too. I hope someday I can get one for Charlie
ReplyDeletethanks, it would look incredible with Charlie's colouring!
DeleteI'm on the hunt for a new medium weight, Mollie's is also losing it's waterproof-ness.
ReplyDeleteand of course this kind of stuff always happens in the middle of the winter! blah.
DeleteShe looks great in it! My mare has put her Rhino through it's paces and it is holding up amazing! Not to mention I think they are really cute.
ReplyDeleteThat's great, I hope it lasts a while!
DeleteGreat pictures as always.
