Today I met Kenny at the barn after work. Lauren had already ridden Lucy but he really wanted to ride, so we decided that she could go on a low-key walking trail ride and have a bit of trot/canter in the field if she was good.
Lucy "Marilyn" Taylor
Cairo takes herself so seriously...sometimes.
Dad! Dad! HI! Dad! Down here! HI!!!!
Wait for meeeeeee!
*boing*
Cairo having a blast. Lucy was not as excited. She just wanted to go home and
she was being naughty to try and get out of work, but you know what that got
her? more time in the field, and some ring work too.
Mulligan, no, he didn't ride before we met. He decided he'd like to try all on his own; I didn't pressure him. He even went out and bought breeches, paddock boots, and half chaps on his own accord! He has a natural seat and a solid centre of balance.
Cairo is beautiful, as is the scenery! and I'm impressed with Kenny's equitation! If only my husband had the same initiative to learn english! (I've realized his best incentive is to learn polo- boys sure love hitting things and sports involving balls!)
I love that Kenny rides! He seems to be having a blast up there, its nice to be able to share that with your special someone. He looks to be pretty darn good at it too!
Your whole family is ridiculously photogenic. I was looking at the headshot of Lucy and I was like "wow, she's so beautiful" and then I noticed K too and thought "huh, this is a great picture of him".
Your blog makes me happy... sorry to sound weird. It is so cool that he rides and awesome that Lucy is letting him.
That is so awesome; A. that your Husband rides and B. that your whole family is so adorable. My husband 'loves' Laz b/c I do..I think he's sat on him once but it's ok; I dont like to share lol!
He looks great up there. And awesome that she's so good for him (even with the occasional naughty moments)!!
